The Caring Families Program at Nova Vita

The Caring Families program is offered by Nova Vita Domestic Violence Prevention Services (www.novavita.org). We are an agency that works with women, children and men that struggle with violence and conflict in their families.

• The program came about as a result of clients requesting programing that engages the whole family and provides consistent and congruent information to support them on their healing journey.
• The Caring Families program works holistically with families by delivering concurrent groups.
• The Caring Families program is partially funded by the Ministry of Child and Youth Services.
• We also obtained research funding and support from the Ontario Centre of Excellence for Child and Youth Mental Health. We completed a program evaluation over a period of three years, completing it in 2011.
